Newsletter Editor’s Message
My apologies to one and all for the lack of a February newsletter. As most of you are aware, I was out of state for the entire month and had the Feb newsletter ready to roll when I discovered that stepping on one’s laptop did not improve the functionality of the screen, however as modern art, it was quite a remarkable display of colorful vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines. I have now replaced the screen and am back in business.
Before I start with regular business, I would like to thank Joel Anderson for the absolutely magnificent job he performed revamping and redesigning the website. Awesome!!
Our March meeting was held at the home of the Blacks and it is always a great pleasure to explore their magnificent grounds and ponds. A few of us had a special treat when outside, the bald eagle that nests on his property made a low level pass over us. Truly memorable! See what you guys miss when you don’t show up for meetings?
There are quite a number of important events over the next few months and you should have all received Melanie’s email detailing these. I have copied her email as her monthly message and please note, the Kodama visit/sale is not next weekend, but two weeks from now on April 5th. Last year’s sale was successful and many nice fish were available at very reasonable prices.
Pond Tour: We are still several ponds short of the goal, so if you have any interest in showing your artistic creation, your time and effort (I won’t mention money………..so déclassé) sign up sheets are available on our website.
AKCA Wet Lab: Please register for this event ASAP. Seating is limited and LSKC members have first shot at a place and we want you there! The invitation will be going out shortly to the San Antonio and Dallas clubs who I’m sure will hesitate.
The San Antonio Spring Fish sale will be on April 11-13 at the Marion Water Gardens, and Andy Moo is scheduled to be there with a nice assortment of imported Japanese koi at reasonable prices. Melanie’s letter has all pertinent information including discounted room rates.
The April 20th meeting will be held at the home Andrew and Lisa Bradley, 6215 Silver Dawn Ct, Kingwood, 77345 . Look forward to seeing you all.
Best to all
