Present The Annual Water Garden And Pond Tour

May 6th and May 7th, 2017
Saturday (North of US 90) 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday (South of US 90) 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To avoid the I-45 southbound closure on Sunday, we recommend going to ponds in Pearland (2313 Quiet Bay) first and then proceeding south on SR 35 to FM 517 to the Dickinson/Santa Fe area.  South on FM 646 will lead to 2nd, then south on Ave L to Milam (12106).  You may then return to the Clear Lake area northbound on 45 to El Dorado to Neptune, and then to Deer Park for the easternmost locations.  As always, feel free to call Jeff at Pond Central (281-488-2543) with questions!

This annual event is a self-guided tour of selected members’ private water gardens and ponds. There is everything ranging in size from small backyard garden ponds and patio fountains, to the huge multi-pond landscapes, complete with koi ponds, waterfalls, and everything else imaginable in between.

These are all residential landscapes and the idea is for guests to come spend a pleasant weekend talking with the homeowners to get their firsthand insight about koi, water gardening, ponds, and landscaping. See how they did it, what they started with, and get their experience about the complete journey. What they would do differently, what their successes (and failures) are, and learn about their enjoyment with the finished product. Actually, all members will tell you that these are works in progress and are never really finished. We had many guests who visited our water gardens and koi ponds and were absolutely delighted at what they saw, and how restful and serene these gardens and ponds make you feel.

Come join in the fun and friendship of the Lone Star Koi Club and the Houston Pond Society.

Tickets may also be purchased at either starting point of each day’s tour. If you prefer to start somewhere closer to where you are, you may “Pond Central” (below) for another address or keep an eye peeled for signs! Addresses are in printed brochures at each pond location.
